Jobtourist: A Jobtourist wants to try his/her dream job, not necessarily to make a career change, but rather as a fun, enriching experience. Jobtourists can spend a day or two apprenticing with a skilled professional who provides a tour of his/her job.
Jobcoach: A Jobcoach is a skilled professional who gives a tour of his profession to interested Jobtourists.
Jobtour: A Jobtour is the experience of trying out another profession with the guidance of a Jobcoach. A Jobtour is a unique one on one, hands on experience that can last from 6 hours to a number of days.
Jobtourist websites: All country specific domain names that are directed to www.jobtourist.net, for example www.jobtourist.ch or www.jobtourist.de, including all of their subdomains.
Important note: The jobtourist.net Association will be referred to hereafter as “jobtourist.net”.
I Basic Policy
jobtourist.net takes the protection of personal data very seriously and abides by Swiss data protection law.
Personal data will only be collected on the Jobtourist websites when it is a technical necessity.
No user data will be passed on to anyone, for any reason at any time. jobtourist.net makes all efforts to protect the user’s data from unauthorized access.
Before any submission of account or credit card data on the Jobtourist websites, the user is redirected to a secure connection.
Employees of jobtourist.net that are exposed to and deal with users’ personal data are obliged to keep the data confidential. This obligation remains valid even when they are no longer employed by jobtourist.net.
jobtourist.net does not require any personal data from unregistered visitors. However jobtourist.net does record their IP addresses in the log file.
jobtourist.net does not guarantee the security of any data transferred via the internet (for example via email) from third party access.
Data that helps to identify a user is called personal data and is protected in accordance with data protection laws. This protection is provided by technical and organizational means.
III Information about data protection on Jobtourist websites
jobourist.net’s services are provided on www.jobtourist.net and other country domains. jobtourist.net saves the following personal data in electronic files:
data that the user submits during registration (for example name, email, billing address) and
data submitted that concerns the description and presentation of Jobtours
The user hereby agrees that the following data can be presented to other users:
information about the name of the Jobcoach as well as the geographic location of the Jobtour
the described Jobtour, possibly including a link to a homepage
if a user clicks “Book a Jobtour”: the name and surname of the Jobcoach, his/her email address and/or phone number (The Jobcoach can define in his profile settings which contact information will be displayed to users).
The user’s assent to the collection of user data, including email addresses, can be withdrawn at any time. However afterwards, contact between Jobtourists and Jobcoaches will no longer be established.
Cookies are small text files which help to identify returning users. Cookies are saved on the user’s computer. No personal data is saved in these cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to the user’s computer and do not contain viruses.
These cookies have no impact outside of the Jobtourist websites. If cookies are deactivated on the user’s browser, it is possible the user may not be able to make complete use of all the website features.
The Jobtourist websites use session cookies and persistent cookies.
V Data collected from the user’s computer
When accessing the Jobtourist websites, possibly identifying data (IP address) as well as other data (Browser type and version, operating system, date, time, viewed pages) is collected on our server for purposes of data protection and statistical analysis. No analysis of this data other than anonymous statistical analysis, takes place. VII Use of Facebook Connect
Any information retrieved about a user via Facebook Connect is treated exactly the same as manually submitted user data. The information transmitted to Facebook by the Jobtourist websites abides by Facebook’s data protection regulations. VIII Tell a friend
If the “tell a friend” service is in use, in order to help users tell their friends about a Jobtour offer, the recommending user submits the email address of his/her friend into a form. jobtourist.net will automatically send the email to that friend. jobtourist.net will not save the recipient’s contact data.
In order to inform our users about new functions and news on the Jobtourist websites, we need a valid email address and information that allows us to verify that the user is in fact the owner of the submitted email address.
In addition, the user must explicitly agree to receive the newsletter. No further data will be requested.
Subscription to the newsletter can be cancelled at any time.
VII Passing on of data to third parties
As a principle, jobtourist.net only uses user data for its own purposes (except when third parties are involved in providing the services) and only insofar as the data is necessary for the provision of services and use.
In order to establish contact with a Jobcoach, his/her contact data is released to the potential Jobtourist.
The users of Jobtourist websites are obliged to only use the personal data that is transmitted to them for the intended purposes.
If a user is logged in via Facebook Connect, the Jobtourist websites may send messages to the user’s Facebook wall. However, this function requires the user’s explicit consent.
Other than that, no personal data is passed on to third parties, unless it is required of jobtourist.net by law, for example by court or official order.
If there is any reason to believe that other users have copied, saved or misused any personal data that you have submitted to the Jobtourist websites, please notify us at: email@example.com.
User data is located on a server protected by a firewall.
If confidential data (for example credit card numbers or passwords) are entered, we use SSL technology to encrypt the data.
Emails and instant messaging services are not necessarily secure connections, therefore we request the users not to send any personal data via these communication methods.
IX Right of information and withdrawal
Users have the right to be informed by jobtourist.net about their own submitted data.
In addition, users have the right to check their personal data via their user account, and to correct, amend or delete it.
The users are also permitted to withdraw their consent to the collection of further data by jobtourist.net. In order to withdraw, an email to firstname.lastname@example.org will suffice. In case of such a withdrawal, jobtourist.net will not be able to continue to provide services to the user.
