What is a Jobtourist?

A Jobtourist is someone who wants to try his/her dream job, not necessarily to make a career change, but rather as a fun, enriching experience. Jobtourists can spend a day or two apprenticing with a skilled professional who provides a tour of his/her job.

How do I book a Jobtour?

  1. Search or browse through our available Jobtours and decide which one interests you.
  2. Click on the profile title of your preferred Jobcoach and look at the offer (the Jobtour program, pictures, accommodations, etc.)
  3. Next click on “Book a Jobtour” (orange button). You'll be prompted to register a username and password. Afterwards, you can contact the Jobcoach by sending a message. He/She will respond after receiving your message.
  4. Clarify the details of your Jobtour with your Jobcoach. It's important to feel comfortable with your Jobcoach and this initial contact is a good opportunity to make sure you are on the same page, as far as your mutual expectations. Together, you can decide on the details of your Jobtour (date, etc).
  5. When you're ready to book, be sure to ask your Jobcoach for an official booking confirmation. You will receive it via e-mail and it serves as a record of your booking.

How do I pay for a Jobtour?

The Jobcoach defines his/her preferred method of payment from a number of payment options. You can find this information in the “Jobtour(s)” tab of the Jobcoach profile.

What should I know about insurance and liability?

Each Jobtourist is responsible for his/her own insurance. The Jobcoach is not liable in any way. However, of course the Jobcoach must do everything possible to ensure your safety during a Jobtour.

IMPORTANT: A Jobtour does not represent an employment contract between a Jobcoach and a Jobtourist. Therefore, a Jobcoach can never pay a Jobtourist for work he has done while on a Jobtour. Rather, a Jobtourist pays a Jobcoach for sharing his professional knowledge and experience.

How can I rate and review a Jobcoach?

After completing a Jobtour, Jobtourists receive an e-mail with a link inviting them to rate and review their experience. This link also appears in the “My account” section.

Rating and reviewing becomes possible as soon as the Jobcoach has reported a completed Jobtour to jobtourist.net.

Why must a Jobtourist create a user account?

You create a username and a password so that you can contact Jobcoaches, book Jobtours and post reviews and ratings after completing Jobtours. Your data is kept secure.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Click the “Forgot your password?” link in the “My Account” section. After you have entered your e-mail address we will send you an e-mail with your new password. You can change this password at any time later on.
