jobtourist.net is a platform that connects between enthusiasts who want to try out and learn about a profession and professionals who want to share their knowledge and experience with others. We call these enthusiasts Jobtourists and the professionals are Jobcoaches. Jobcoaches offer interested Jobtourists a tour of their profession. And jobtourist.net is where they all meet!

What is a Jobtour?

A Jobtour is the experience of trying out another profession with the guidance of a Jobcoach. A Jobtour is a unique one on one, hands on experience that can last anywhere from 6 hours to a number of days.

What is a Jobtourist?

A Jobtourist is someone who wants to try his/her dream job, not necessarily to make a career change, but rather as a fun, enriching experience. Jobtourists can spend a day or two apprenticing with a skilled professional who provides a tour of his/her job.

What is a Jobcoach?

A Jobcoach is a professional who offers to share his knowledge and experience with interested people in the form of a Jobtour, where Jobtourists can spend a day or more trying out his/her profession. Almost everyone has wished once or twice to try out another profession. Jobcoaches make that experience possible! Become a Jobcoach, we’ll guide you through the free process of creating your Jobcoach profile.

Who runs the jobtourist.net platform?

The jobtourist.net Association has three founders and is located in Bern, Switzerland.

How is the jobtourist.net platform financed?

At the moment, the founders finance the platform out of their own pockets. In the future, we would like the commission fees from booked Jobtours to finance the platform.
